Meet The Founder

Talia

Not only is she the heart and soul of the practice but she is a highly experienced and passionate speech-language pathologist and audiologist. Her deep passion for speech and language therapy prompted her to found the practice in 2019.

Talia holds a BA Honours degree in Speech and Hearing from Wits University, and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Intervention (MECI) from the University of Pretoria. She specialises in helping children with developmental delays and disability by partnering with parents to develop routines that support the child and promote participation, a unique approach to her therapy. Over the years, she has completed numerous courses in adult neurology and dysphagia having trained in LSVT Loud, Vital Stimulation Therapy, Talk Tools, and Rave-O. She has also completed both the Introduction to PROMPT and PROMPT bridging courses.

Talk2Me’s founder spent 6 years working at a Rehabilitation Hospital where she treated adults who had suffered from acquired neurological conditions. She also worked in the Paediatric department treating children with developmental delays, metabolic disorders, and neurological impairments (cerebral palsy, hypoxic brain injury, traumatic brain injury and stroke), at both the acute and chronic stages of therapy.

Specialising in assisting children and adults with communication difficulties and neurological rehabilitation, Talia conducts her work with the utmost professionalism and knowledge, using over a decade of experience. Our founder’s special interest in language enrichment for children and teenagers has allowed her to work with diverse populations.

Passionate and motivated to see her patients succeed, Talia’s dedication and expertise make her an invaluable member and leader of the Talk2Me Speech Therapy team.
